"Secret Society"

Every day it seems there is a new bombshell about the Deep State efforts to overturn the 2016 election.  Over the weekend we learned that the FBI was "missing" five months of text messages from Trump-hating agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, who are at the center of the Deep State scandal.

Now congressional investigators have discovered a message sent the day after the election discussing a meeting of a "secret society" inside the FBI.  As Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) explained to Fox News:

"You have this insurance policy in the Spring of 2016 and then the day after the election . . . there's a text exchange between these two FBI agents . . . saying, 'perhaps this is the first meeting of the secret society.'  So of course I'm gonna want to know what 'secret society' are you talking about."

By the way, Strzok, the deputy director of the FBI's counterintelligence division, sent a text message that appears to question the whole of point of the Mueller investigation.  Referring to allegations of collusion, he wrote "the odds are nothing" and added that he hesitated to join Mueller's team "because of my gut sense and concern that there's no big there there."

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said yesterday that an investigation is already underway, and he vowed to "leave no stone unturned" to determine why the text messages are missing and whether they can be recovered.

He might not have to look very far.  Rep. Trey Gowdy also told Fox News that he saw "a text about not keeping texts."

With all due respect to the attorney general, we seem to be overturning stones on Mt. McKinley and on a pace that will reveal the truth in 2118!  Trump Administration officials determined to expose and root out the Deep State must step up their efforts.

Media Bias

Not surprisingly, none of the big three networks covered this story last night.  While I am glad that these things are becoming known, it reveals another national scandal:  The left-wing media are doing a tremendous disservice to the American people by deliberately keeping them in the dark.

Media bias is not just how liberal reporters spin the news.  It is also what the networks choose not to tell the American people.

Just another reason why it is so important for you to encourage friends and family members to sign up for these daily reports!

Trump Wins Again

There's no question that the "Schumer Shutdown" backfired on Senate progressives.  Just look at these headlines:

"Democrats Blink In Shutdown Impasse" -- New York Times

"Why The Democrats Lost Their Nerve In The Shutdown Battle" -- Washington Post

"Democrats Get Rolled In Shutdown Standoff" -- Politico

"Left Says Dems Caved On Shutdown" -- The Hill

As the Washington Post noted, the left was losing the messaging war.  Apparently, many politicians still haven't realized that when it comes to immigration Donald Trump is much more in tune with the voters than they are.

President Trump has been very clear about his demands for immigration reform.  Border security was a central theme of his campaign.  In October, the White House released a very detailed list of immigration policy priorities

In recent weeks, the president reiterated his key concerns:  Secure the border, end the diversity visa lottery and reform our current immigration system to prioritize merit and skill rather than perpetuating chain migration.

And according to the latest Harvard poll, it is progresives and the open borders, amnesty advocates, not Donald Trump, who are out of touch.  For example:

  • 81% of voters want less immigration than what our current system permits.
  • 79% want an immigration system based on merit, not family relationships.
  • 68% oppose the diversity visa lottery.
  • 61% said we need more border security.
  • 78% said they want to help children brought here illegally as minors.  But 60% opposed amnesty for their parents and other relatives.
  • 58% opposed shutting down the government in order to force an amnesty for DACA recipients.

The poll also asked voters about a DACA deal based on President Trump's principles -- help the DACA recipients in exchange for a merit-based immigration system, an end to the diversity visa lottery and funding for serious border security measures.  Voters supported that deal 65% to 35%.

Thankfully, the White House appears emboldened by these poll results, as well as the failure of the Schumer Shutdown.  We may, however, be headed for a redo.

Politico reports that Schumer "is taking his big spending boost for Donald Trump's border wall off the table."  Yet he had the audacity to warn Mitch McConnell about a "breach of trust."

Pence Visits Israel

Vice President Mike Pence is wrapping up a home run trip to Israel today.  When he arrived at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Jerusalem office, he was greeted by an IDF honor guard -- a high honor generally reserved for foreign heads of state and another sign of the tremendous respect that now exists between Washington and Jerusalem.

Yesterday, Pence became the first American vice president to address the Israeli Knesset.  His remarks were extremely well-received.  This Jerusalem Post headline says it all: "Pence Speech Rife With Biblical References Rocks The Knesset."

Below are excerpts of Vice President Pence's address.  You can watch it here.

"Thanks to [President Trump's] leadership, the alliance between our two countries has never been stronger, and the friendship between our peoples has never been deeper. . . We stand with Israel because your cause is our cause, your values are our values, and your fight is our fight. . .

"In the story of the Jews, we've always seen the story of America. It is the story of an exodus, a journey from persecution to freedom, a story that shows the power of faith and the promise of hope. My country's very first settlers also saw themselves as pilgrims, sent by Providence, to build a new Promised Land. . .

"Seventy years ago, the United States was proud to be the first nation in the world to recognize the State of Israel. But . . . while the United States recognized your nation, one administration after another refused to recognize your capital. . .

"Jerusalem is Israel's capital. And, as such, President Trump has directed the State Department to immediately begin preparations to move the United States Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. . . By finally recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital, the United States has chosen fact over fiction. . ."
